Join your friends and neighbors to support JCC Buffalo’s Au-Some Swimmers, a learn to swim program for children diagnosed with autism. Since Au-Some Swimmers began in 2013, 60 children have participated, and 90% have attended more than one session. This year, the program is supported by grant funding from the Variety Club of Buffalo, Kelly For Kids Foundation, and Erie County Youth Bureau. Au-Some Swimmers is also supported by contributions from Au-Some Swimmer families, but we need more help. Every $7 raised will subsidize one private swim lesson!
Get involved by swimming as far as you can between June 1 – 8! Participants earn points by swimming, however, non-swimmers are welcome to participate and can earn points by exercising and helping others.
Au-Some Celebration: Wednesday, June 8, 4:00 – 6:00pm. JCC Buffalo Lobby (787 Delaware Avenue: Buffalo, NY 14209). All Au-Some Swimmer supporters are invited to games, arts and crafts, and pizza.
We welcome participants outside of Western New York to participate in your pool. We will mail you a participant chart and stay connected via email, facebook, and telephone.
