Talk on Mindful Parenting

Join Dr. Rachel Gerstein, a Clinical Psychologist, to learn about how to be a more
mindful parent. Being a mindful parent means becoming the parent we want to be – staying calm in difficult moments and being fully present and engaged with our children. Mindfulness can be particularly helpful in situations where we feel overwhelmed or lacking control, thus this talk will be geared specifically for special needs parents. We will discuss ways in which we can practice mindfulness both on our own and with our children.
